WHAT IS THULA MANZI?
Manzi by Thula Moya Energy is a bespoke solar water heating solution for the residential market in KZN (Kwa-Zulu Natal). As a proudly South African product, Manzi differs from solar geysers in that it does not require you to replace your existing electric geyser when converting to solar energy. Manzi consists of 3-4 solar panels, a DC geyser inverter and cabling and a mounting frame. The system has been designed to connect up to any existing AC geyser. Manzi installations require no plumbing or piping which makes it more affordable than converting to a conventional solar geyser.
The Manzi system also comes with a WiFi communication system. You are able to access your geyser via an online application that allows you to set various conditions as well as control the temperature of the geyser throughout the day and night times. The Manzi system is compatible with iOS as well as Android and it can also be linked up to Google home and Amazons Alexa home systems.

WHAT IS A KILOWATT HOUR (KWH)?
This is a measure of energy and is used to define the amount of energy used over a one-hour period. It is conventionally the unit of power referred to on your electricity bill.
HOW DOES A SOLAR PANEL WORK?
Solar panels absorb the sun’s energy throughout the day and convert it into direct current (DC) electricity. Most homes and businesses run on alternating current (AC) electricity, so the DC electricity is then passed through an inverter to convert it into usable AC electricity. At that point, you either use the electricity in your house or send it back to the electric grid.
HOW DOES USING SOLAR HELP THE ENVIRONMENT?
Solar power, like other renewable energy resources, has many environmental and health benefits. Going solar reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which contribute to climate change, and also results in fewer air pollutants like sulfur dioxide and particulate matter, which can cause health problems.
